IDK - its just wierd that a guy looking for a car for several months is using the exact same picture as a guy selling a cay?
wierd more than fishy I guess...might be the same guy looking to buy and flip cars?

OK, there are some incredible deals on parts etc. that you will find on eBay, but you have to be careful and know what you are buying. I will give a some examples and a bad example.
About 4-5 years ago I got a brand new, in the Porsche box dual mass flywheel for my 996 for $67. We all know that they usually for $700+, list for over $900. I bought it on a whim and stuck it under my desk. 2 years later it was time for a clutch and also needed a flywheel. It has been in the car since them. Now that was an incredible deal.
This summer I got a brand new, OEM in the Porsche box MAF for egas for $69. It is also in the car.
Also found a cam advance mech for a 3.4, brand new, for 1-3 side that I got for $100. They seller actually had both sides but I only got the one side as I entered cents rather than dollars at the last minute bid on that one. Sitting in my storage waiting to be needed.
Bad Example, I bought a MKI aero bumper that was advertised as "mint" in my color (Ocean Blue). Turned out to be repainted with cracks, etc. in the paint (not in the bumper itself). But then again I only paid $600, so repainting it would bring it up to about what many of the primed bumpers go for. Put it on the car but still have not had it painted, one of these days I will.
That is just a few of the items I have gotten on eBay, the list could go on for a page or two, but there really are some bargains to be found if you know the cars and keep an eye out. I basically do a search for newly listed 996 and 997 stuff everyday. It drives my wife crazy!
