To my knowledge, 99s that came with with the full carbon spec package, the 3 spoke wheel was included.

Changing my 4 spoke to a 3 spoke was one of the best mods done to my 99. It not only looks much better, but the 'feel' of the wheel (thicker) was much improved.

I think I looked at a 01 C4 that had a 4 spoke when I was in the market.

Mine is a '99 and it came from the factory with code XPD - 3 spoke carbon fiber steering wheel. Since the CF is soo much lighter, that's got to be worth at least 50-60HP!!

There is no way you're going to see any significant HP increase by simply switching from a 4 spoke wheel to a 3 spoke wheel.







You've got to have the car re-tuned to take full advantage of it.

I'll second this. It wasn't until I installed the carbon rear console lid cover that I really started noticing the power gains in conjunction with my CF steering wheel.
