LOL. I'm afraid mine doesn't come out to see the snow either (not that it snows much in DC) but, that's why I have a Grand Cherokee. I only have autocrossing pictures of my car and a few shots after I finished detailing it.

On a related note--snowing here in Stillwater, MN. Just pulling out from a shopping run and saw a black Audi R8 at the stopsign! Wow, nice looking car.

Yesterday the snow was a perfect excuse to run out and get a hair cut!

Seasons Greetings to all Porsche addicts!

Here are some old pictures, I just haven't taken many recently in Winter. Right now it's - 34 outside - bloody cold.

The picture I want to get and show off here would be the interesting vapor - exhaust "contrails" that you get when you gas it on the freeway at speed. You get this 8 foot "rooster tail" from the rear spoiler. I can see it in my rear view mirror, but would like to get someone to take a shot from the side. But I am not sure if any of my pals here wants to stand on the side of the road with a camera while I loop around to drive past him for a picture.

A couple of great shots, Buddy.

Where are you located, in Canada with the Vimy memorial?

Thanks Meister Fahrer,

Those photo's are from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. It went to -50 C last night with the wind chill. I almost forgot what that's like - it's been a few years since we had the real extreme low temps. My C4 with 150,000 Kms runs fine in the cold - so I am proud of my high mileage beast. Love this car for winter, and it's a great conversation starter that's for sure. "you drive that in winter?" everyone always says - so I like this thread topic.

I absolutely prefer driving my Porsche in winter - the speeds are slower, and it's easy to do the "Tokyo Drift" stuff without harming your rubber too much, or risking a bad crash. I wish they would run autocross in winter here.

I agree there should be more places to get out and drive in the winter for 2 reasons. (1) its FUN and like you say, slower (2) if more people understood what it felt like to slip a little, they would be much better drivers on the roads

In fast the opposite has become the rule here: go "practice" driving in some abandon parking lot, get yourself a big fat wreckless driving ticket????

I was lucky enough to get out in a nice lot before anyone was up this year. I had the whole lot, smooth, fluffy, slippery and extreamly well driven thanks to my Porsche. (as someone said "you got ***** driving that in the snow!") Its far more predictable than other cars.

VIDS - next time, I figured it out now!!! (the snow is much to deep, crunchy, Icy, bumpy, and torn up though to out in it now with the P-car)

The rain finally stopped here in So. CA for awhile so I thought I'd take her out to stretch her legs a bit... As part of my tribute to the sun I did a quick trip East and what do you know...

Yes, Virginia, it does snow in San Diego... This shot was taken on Mount Laguna, about 30 minutes east of home and at about 4,500 feet... When we flatlanders get rain, if it's cold enough, they get snow... and they got a lot of it this time around...

With that, I submit:
