Default Ground clearance

I am considering buying a 2002 or 2003 C4 or C2. My driveway has a fairly steep hill going up from the street. As it is, I turn wide in the street to go up the driveway in a 2002 Alero.
How can I determine if the C4 will go up without scraping?
Any suggestions, outside of redoing the driveway.
Thanks.

Scott

Borrow a friends C4 and practice

My car is pretty low, and I don't scrape on my driveway. But I do occassionally in the garage at work...

You have to go in and out of the driveway at a severe angle. Do that every time and you won't scrape. Took me a while to figure that out

Available now for a low, low price of EUR 11,800!! It can raise ground clearance by about 2 inches with the push of a button!

The stock ground clearance is pretty good. I doubt you'd have trouble if you took it at an angle. I guess you could measure the ground clearance on your alero and post it if you want to compare it against the C4.

I hit a parking curb once - I was traumatized but the car was ok - thank god.

I used to have the mother of all driveways and managed to get anything up it. My angle from the street was a severe 27degree pitch.

The one and only way was to come at it perfectly parallel and then put one wheel on and cut it. Wheels spun nearly every day. The opposite on the way down.

And, while your at it, don't forget that on the way up you can also scrape the exhaust tips! (I know)

How do you think this one will do?? (Looking to raise it on the H&R springs back up 2 inches ) Trading my "old" Porsche in for it.

FYI my current (non-aero) C4 Cabrio has no problems with clearance, just come in a little slower and at an angle and its easy.

I think worst case you'll be scraping the lip, which would be fine if it weren't painted

If you don't mind eventually replacing or deleting the lip, you'll probably be fine.
