They say they have a "proprietary" fix/upgrade for the IMS on the 3.4's

Charles at LN Engineering also has made a intermediate shaft replacement piece. Nicely made with a stud that will not fail like the factory one. Nice piece indeed!

The $6,5000 price assumes that you give them a rebuildable core. they were clear that if a head was cracked it wold be $500, if a cylinder was Cracked $500+, etc. I think the credti you get from Porsche when you buy a remanufactured engine is also based on a rebuildable core, but Porsche seems remiss to tell people what is wrong with the engine so how can they claim the core is not rebuidable (unless it is a IMS break, etc.). I am trying to see what experience anyone has with these guys. They said they know the people at Autostrasse.
As for LN engineering, they are working with a group called Flat6 innovations. LN does a cylinder replacement, and flat6 does a total rebuild including their IMS update. Sounds really good but the price they quoted me for a total rebuild was $14,000, plus lablr to install, etc. So they are pretty expensive, thousands more than a Porsche Remanufactured engine.
