Default Another 19" Wheel Question- Tire Size

I know that this has been posted several times however I am super confused about what tire size to get. My brother gave me a set of rims- 8x19 and 11x19. I have searched this forum and I keep finding conflicting info. I do not track my car. It is simply for daily use. I was able to find the front tire size however I cannot find the rear tire size. I seached around tirerack also and found some strange info their. Can anyone give me a reasonable tire size for the rears. I do not need anything special, just something that will fit on my car and wheel. If it matters, I have a 00 C2.

Thanks,
Steve

the ideal size is 305/25/19. They are hard to find though.

Are there any acceptable alternatives that are easier to find?

You should be able to fit following tires on the car (also depends on the offset of the rims):

Front: 235/35/19 on 8 inch wheel (as alternative 225/35/19)
Rear: 315/25/19 on 11 inch wheel

For street use the Falken FK452 is a good tire and priced very fair. They are available in these sizes:

Here's another thread of someone who had a 315/25/19 on a 996 narrow body car:

I usually use this tire size calculator and compare to stock sizes:

I went with Toyo T1R in 235/35/19 and 315/25/19 on my 19" Lobster Claws

Great tire - and the correct rolling radius for the 996.

The rear tire size can be 295 / 30 / 19 or 305 / 30 / 19 (this is what I have) or 315 / 25 / 19 ( really not necessary and costs more money ). All available at tirerack.com

FYI - Toyo T1R 315/25/19 available on FleaBay as here:

Cheaper than 305/30/19 at TireRack.Com - and the T1R is a better tire IMHO

That's a good deal on a 315 tire.

Warning, if your car is lowered or the wheel offsets are not just right 315's may rub. They can fit (but only if everything else is perfect).

I have US M030 setup with Champion springs. Do you think that I would have an issue with rubbing with 295/30/19 or 305/30/19?
