To me the whole thing sounds hokey. If porsche could have gotten better results from a 6 inch silicone tube, I think they would have put it on.

But if it at least makes a better sound (which I think is the true purpose) then that's enough

spot on...yes...I got one on my 01 996...maybe, I imagine, better throttle response and a bit more noise, but basically it is an ingenious solution to a non existant problem!. Save your bucks for other things - like muffler bypass pipes, PSE or other cosmetics! Or, buy a faster P car....

Isn't installing the CAI kit the same as simply disconnecting the little brown/red plug over the airbox that engages sports exhaust all the time?
