thanks prof dell.... you ALWAYS have the answers. i truly appreciate it. i did read your post before i started my thread. it wasnt exactly the same situation as mine would come on again after rest, or did anyway, till now. tho im thinking based on wwest's comments i may wanna look a bit harder at the battery before i do the switch.

either way, i will report back once i get it fixed. thanks to all.

Because the HID/Xenon initial start-up, "ignition" (initial xenon gas arc firing), surge current is so high/heavy many aftermarket kits come with a relay so the ballasts get connected more directly to the battery. So yes, a few milli-ohms of extra resistance in the switch (or wiring) can make a difference. But I would still look first at the battery, the battery post connections (burnish/clean?), both ends, and maybe the engine grounding strap (the alternator ground/negative "return") back in the engine compartment

a lil assist please...

bought the light switch but having probs removing the air vent. i removed the light control and the screws but i cant free the vent. feels like its tabbed into place. left side of vent piece(screw side) does seem to snap off but everything else feels real tight and wont snap off. i can barely put my fingers underneath the bottom part of vent to try and lift/snap off. tried prying off with butterknife but i feel im exerting too much force and feels like i will break the vent piece.

sorry if dumb question but can anyone assist? thanks in advance.

here is an inside view from an user that took it off the wrong way, is there anything you can see that will help... Dont force it, those suckers are fairly pricey!!!

Here is an ebay auction that shows all sides of the part, maybe you can see something there too

hope this is some help,
