Default water wetter and porshce oem coolant

anyone running water wetter with the oem porsche coolant/antifreeze?
just wanted to know if they are compatible or if it causes a reaction with the notoriously fussy pink porsche stuff.

ive seen horrors with the addition of a second coolant causing a reaction that turns it like jello so am wary of adding anything in there without some research first

I would think that stuff is fine. It's excellent stuff. Have considered putting it in mine when it needs a little bit of fluid.

I use it on both my track cars only because regular coolant is not allowed. IMO, I cannot see any advantage in a road car, your regular coolant should be doing the job just fine, if it's not then you have other issues.

Right. And the Red Line site shows it to be of minimal benefit in the typical 50/50 antifreeze/water mix anyway.

im actually in texas and cool just fine but had been thinking over the summer if maybe adding something to help out wouldnt be a bad idea. after all 100 plus degrees all the time and traffic arent really optimum conditions.

thanks for the replies

I'm in FL no issues with any of my street p-cars running regular coolant year-round. Don't waste your money IMO.

Quoting an old and tried and true saying...."If it works, don't fix it".
