kinesis k19 wheels
i love the k19's in black... but at around $1100-1200 a wheel, that's way more than i wanted to spend. can anyone recommend something else thats very similar but more affordable? i want a set of 19 inchers for my '01 996 coupe. used is okay too. thanks

not to mention...Since Lexani bought Kinesis they no longer make that style of wheel...so even if you found one from someone's inventory if anything ever happened to it you could not get a replacement. Best to choose another wheel.
Forgeline makes wheels along the lines of Kinesis...but they're not any cheaper.

Try looking at the new Axis wheels for Porsche. Dan @ VividRacing carries them, inexpensive and nice looking in all black with your color choice of rim stripe.

Three Wheelin'
Mike, the wheel pictured is mine. I paid $1,759. for the set on ebay a few months ago. I had to have two of them powdercoated (to match the other two) at a cost of about $400. I was able to buy a Kinesis center cap from Wheel Enhancement for $15.
If you watch ebay for a while, you should be able to find a nice set of used wheels for your 996 for about $2,000. I saw great deals on Fiske wheels, BBS, and OEM Sportdesign. I also suggest keeping an eye on the classified ads here, 6 speed, and Pelican. Good luck.
