Default Paul Toby is a scam artist, don't buy from him

I paid this a-hole for a set of JIC Cross coilovers a couple of weeks back and he still hasn't delivered.
He doesn't answer emails, phone or voicemail.

He uses these two names and email addresses:
Paul Toby, paul@jic-magic.com
Paul Jho, seonjae424@yahoo.com

Foolishly enough I assumed he worked for jic-magic but that does not seem to be the case since that email now bounces.

Very sorry to hear that, and thanks for the "heads-up"... We all bougth stuff online nowadays either ebay or CL, or here in forums, but there is always that risk that you are going to get screwed, it's a terrible feeling. Usually I like CL best because it's local and I can see the parts before buying. Good luck...

How did you pay? If you paid with CC no worries, or Pay Pal will protect you from scams.
If it is a MO, you can get your bank to cancel payment. Good luck

I paid (paypal) over a month ago, not a word since then. Tried email, phone, text messages, voicemail but no luck.

I did contact Jic-magic and they will look into it and try to resolve it in a good way.
They didn't know anything about my order and it seems he did this one on his own.

I also got a call from Paul which I missed, no luck in getting him on the phone again, but maybe it will be resolved.

I just want my coilovers ...

Okay good - it's just a formality then... jump through the painful paypal hoops and you'll get there.

So, how do you catch the scammer? Have you talked with police to see if there's anything they can do?

I see they're supposed to be a sponsor on 6speed. Notify the mods on 6speed and I'm sure the mods will help expedite contacting the guy and/or expedite a resolution.

I'd really hate to have to do that.
Waiting a few days more until taking that step.

I know, but if the guy scammed you and is showing no signs of contacting you to explain and reverse his actions, then you should really do the right thing and contact the police to see if there's anything that can be done to stop him doing it again. It worst he'll have to explain himself to someone in a uniform.

If someone attempts to scam me I have no hesitation in teaching them the error of their ways.
