Ron Kain at IPB Autosport. http://www.ipb-autosport.com/

Tell him Robert Hrabak Jr. sent you.

He's been working on my Dad's and my Porsches and never messed anything up and he's just a cool guy.

Niello Porsche is a joke now. I was charged $350 for a PPI that didn't even include a compression check....... I was told by one of their service men, 'if it needs a compression check it's not worth buying'. On top of that I left my PCA card at home and they wouldn't give me my discount.......they said there was nothing they could do for me.....stupid liars. I found out afterwards that they can look up PCA member information......

Screw Niello.

There is a reason I know of two mechanics that just quit working there.

Trust me IPB can take care of you.

Hi Scott, I have to also agree with you on this one. I am on a first name basis with several people at Niello Porsche, especially David Welling (service advisor). They were invaluable in helping me rebuild my first project 996. I couldn't afford the over $2,000 price of a shop manual, so they copied the wiring diagrams that I needed. They offered, I didn't ask. I can't say enough good things about them.
Last night I was at a local car show/get together sponsored by Niello. I met the manager of the Maserati/Jaguar/and Rover store. He is a self proclaimed car guy & track enthusiast. He has a 360 and just sold his GT3. He twisted my arm into taking the new Maserati GranTourismo for a test drive (just to spread the word). It was the perfect end to a great night of hanging out with fellow enthusiasts. If I ever buy a new car, it will be from Niello.
Blinkwatt, sorry to hear you had a bad experience. If you ever need them again, please give David a chance. You won't regret it. I will also check out IPB for my indie needs...Niello isn't cheap.

What model and year car are you looking at?

I have a PST2 and PIWIS - I could run it through dealer tests for you.

Mark,
David is indeed who I worked with. They squeezed me in on very short notice after I explained that I was flying up from phoenix to possibly drive the car home. As you note, they were not cheap, however. How is the aerokit transformation coming?
