That's not saying much though.

I think I see maybe 2 per day in our area... so I'm guessing pretty common.

It's funny, because I went back to the UK a couple of weeks ago - the area I grew up in is in the sticks - not much out there, but in one day I saw 2 Porsches, 2 Aston Martins and a Koenigsegg. I think the place has gone upmarket since I left there.

I'm telling you that it was pretty shocking to see this bright yellow Koenigsegg barreling towards me on a narrow country lane.

Default Common?

I live on a street that is 3 blocks long. Busy street on one end and a community part on the other. I have two and there are 4 others on that 3-block strip. It is not unusual to see one several 996/997s on the way to work. Pretty common.

Drove PCH through Malibu - didn't go as far south as Newport Beach. Between the cars and the houses -- awfully nice area. But you can have your California traffic! Toured some great wineries in St. Ynez mtns which was just great fun - what I remember of it anyway.

Arnee, You down there in NB? I get out to Newport Coast and around Fashion Island a few times a week. My 'base' Carrera gets unnoticed (preferably) around them new Bentleys, AMG MBZs, etc! Really crazy over there.

there are certainly a few in Houston. Driving to and from work every day I prob see 1 or 2 boxsters and 1 or 2 911s (996 or 997). Relatively rare given the traffic.

I wonder - how friendly are other p-car owners when you see or pull up next to them? In Houston they stare straight ahead and pretend to be statues.

I'm on temp detail in Washington, D.C., staying with my sister 'till I find a short term apartment to rent. She lives in a fairly affluent suburb of Arlington, VA, just across the river from DC. In the morning, I wait 5-10 minutes for the bus on one of the busier roads through the neighborhood.

For grins I've been counting the Porsche's and Beemer's I see in the morning while I wait.. I'd say I usually see 2-3 Porsches, but the Beemers are thick as fleas.. probably see 5x that many..

Atlanta is a weird demographic. It has gone through several phases since Sherman's march which has left money in the strangest places. We are experiencing a serious case of McMansionitis where well heeled individuals are moving into fairly depressed areas and revitalizing zones that were near death just a few years ago. With that, P-cars (cute the way you guys use that) are starting to show up everywhere. You use to only see them in Buckhead/midtown and the Northern Metro. Now they are showing up all around the downtown area with the influx of afluence. Atlanta has also become a hot spot for pro athletes, entertainers, music producers and the like. A lot of one-upmanship leaves a lot of low miles exotics on the auction block. Just make sure all the "residue" is detailed out before you encounter your next road block

Yep. Been to the Irvine C&C a few times. Agree on the good stuff. 1st time I went, my buddies on their Harleys had me follow them in. Little did I know I followed them into the 'show' area with my filthy car. Sheeesh.
