At least you have a Porsche!

That is so true. The two of us are masters of our own domain... although I'd say that you have more practice.

Is anyone heading over to the tech session at dC Automotive after coffee at Wake Zone tomorrow?

Alex,

I'll be joining the Hurricane Region on the drive to dC Automotive. I'll swing by WZ a little after 0800. The convoy leaves Brier Creek at 9:30 sharp, so I'll plan on leaving WZ around 8:45 to get over to BC and join the rest of the cars for the drive.

Let's me get out the calculator.....443 miles at 80 mph minimum equals 5.5 hours.......did you stop and take a nap along the way?

Huh? Who said anything about 80mph? What kind of idiot does 80mph in 55mph zones? To be honest what kind of idiot does that in 60 or 65mph zones? ...especially considering that PA, MD and VA just love to give out lots of tickets from the many state patrol cars that I saw.

You will note my timing gives an average of 62mph which is not bad considering it includes the various speed zones, a stop for gas and miles of traffic lights on rte 1.

Actually I was trying to be funny......Normally I drive NC south to SC,GA,Al and FL and on their interstates you can set cruise at 78-80(posted speed is 65 or 70) and the cops will not even look at you......but they will not let you run over 80...........

Sorry, missed the humor.

If you try 80mph in PA, or anywhere north of there you'll get a trip to jail for much more than 73mph in a 65mph zone. Cops are everywhere looking to levy taxes, plus the traffic is heavy enough that 80mph on most roads pus you above the flow of traffic and is a safety issue.
