110 Octane Fuel at Local Station
I went to fill up my 996 at a local Marathon gas station- located in Marysville, Ohio. I was shocked when I found that I had the usual three octane options a 110 Octane option. Who is putting 110 octane gas in their car? It cost 5.49/gal. I really am starting to think that Marysville is a very strange town. It is a small country town about 15 minutes from the suburbs of Columbus, Ohio. Mainly consist of cows and hillbillies. Strange because it also has the countries largest Lamborghini dealership.
Weird town- Cows, Lamborghinis and 110 Octane Fuel.

That is weird.
110 Octane gas is - as far as I know - only available in leaded gas, which is not street legal and will also destroy your catalytic converters in about 10 minutes. They might be quoting the "Research Octane" which is a lot higher than the motor octane. I believe the highest (motor) octane unleaded gas available is 104.
If there was a 110 motor octane unleaded gas available I would expect it to decrease the performance of just about any production car (including a Porsche) - you would need astronomically high compression ratios for 110 octane to improve your performance.

I think that it has to be square footage. I would really doubt that they are selling the most. The only thing that this area would have going for it is that is a somewhat central location for the US. It is a pretty large place. I was there a few days ago and they had about 30 lambos. It is pretty common to see Lambos and Ferraris around here but I doubt that it is the largest volume dealer.
When I was there a few days ago, there was an original GT-40. Not a Ford fan but it was quite impressive.
Also, I would never put the 110 Octane fuel in my car. I just thought it was interesting that a regular gas station was selling racing fuel.

Three Wheelin'
there are a number of unleaded 108 and 109 octane fuels which were designed as leaded racing fuel replacements available. Marathon had a formulation, as do a few others. All that I'm aware of are quoting research octane, 109 will generally be 100 - 102 at the motor
