Tippy, that is a nasty job. Thanks for taking the time to share the pictures. Carb cleaner worked great for me when I had my first 996 engine out. Wouldn't it be great to have a lift? I'm seriously jealous whenever I see somebody that has one in their garage.
I wish I lived close, I would be happy to jump in and share in the fun. Gorgeous car...Good luck.

I will, once I get the new FW and put it back together. I hope my memory does not fail me, there are a lot more lines and hoses than I originally thought.

Mark, it is fun to me, this is my Bros shop. Yea, a lift would of helped, I had the engine hanging for 2 hours trying to figure out how to get it off of the big wood block.

1. Adjusting valves, what a PITA even outside the car! I didnt have the right tool so I bent a .004" feeler gauge to get in there

2. New throwout bearing sleeve installed
