IPD plenum hp gain

IPD plenum hp gain
Do you really gain 20-25hp with an IPD plenum??
Does anyone have experience with the plenum alone or do you need sport exhaust, open airfilter and new ECU for this gain?
Do you gain anything with the plenum alone?

It's been debated quite a bit, but it surprisingly seems that there is, in fact, an hp gain- even from just the plenum alone. I wouldn't think that you would get a full 20-25hp, and with all mod hp gain claims, I would just cut the claim in half and figure that would be a ball-park figure. At any rate, whether it's 5hp or 20hp, everyone seems to feel that it at least makes the car a bit more responsive.

Here's a before and after dyno. I saw 28HP, 26Ft-lbs - mid-range gains.

I picked up one last month. Did the install with the airbox plug to the muffler box. I also have a PSE. I honestly really do feel that the plenum should have came from the factory. The butt dyno gained at least 20hp and I even put on 19"s.

Viprklr, your turbo is gorgeous. That color is stunning! Congratulations.
I have the plenum with several other mods. I couldn't be happier with it.

After I installed my Plenum I could tell a huge difference immediately. I later installed a evo air intake and it made more gains. The Plenum alone makes a big difference by my butt dyno!
