PSS9, PSS10, or X74?
I want to lower my car, upgrade the suspension to something closer to a GT3 feel and am curious as to the practical differences between these three set ups.

Today I installed a ROW M030 retrofit kit on my car. I did tons of research before I did it. So I can say that this topic is talked to death here. If you search for PSS9 and X72 and toss in some other words to narrow your search will read about it all night long. The PSS10 are new but I think they just added another setting to the PSS9?
Good luck.
Good luck.

I have only driven a 996 w/PSS9's and x74 (never been in a PSS10 car).
X74
Pro's
- Porsche Coilover (made by Porsche). Not adjustable so all settings already made by Porsche.
- Transforms handling, very stiff and secure
- Very easy to install
- Probably a better track suspension than the PSS9 (good but there are even better options for the track than this set-up)
- Kit includes new sway bars and bushings
Con's
- Very stiff (I'm not kidding here, much stiffer than PSS9's)
- Not adjustable, no corner balancing, ride height or dampening adjustment
PSS9
Pro's
- Better handling than stock
- Fully adjustable (height, dampening)
- Probably a better street coilover, more comfortable (than x74)
Con's
- On the soft side for the track
- Aftermarket, more difficult to install (according to my mechanic, who has installed both)
- No new sways included
Full disclosure - I have driven both. I decided on the x74 for my car.

Yup, this has been posted ad-nauseum. Do a search using "suspension upgrades" and you'll be reading way into the next several days.
Ray's got a very nice, concise summary. You forgot to ask about the ROW 030. Lowers the car, not as much and not as stiff as the X74, and it's made by Porsche.
Which of the choices makes it's a GT3 feel? None, really. The GT3 is the GT3. Closest would be the X74 is my guess.

PSS9s here. I hear the 10s have diff valving. The additional +1 adjustment means nothing to me.
I feel my PSS9s are already pretty damn stiff. Salient real-world scenario challenge: You put a paper latte cup with lid on the cupholder... the liquid goodness within will sometimes spill out of the small sippy opening if you go over a small bumper or two.
Ride height adjustment was the biggest pleezer for me. X74 leaves too much gappage.

I was hoping that someone had pss10s on their car. I have read enough on the others, but the 10s look significantly different than the 9s in terms of the spring set up, and it sounds like the dampening is different as well. They seem like they may be the best of both worlds, not as soft as the 9 but more comlpiant than the X74. I may never track this car, but I want the benefits of a true coil over suspension. It will mostly be driven to club events, shows, and in the seasonal club rally.

If you want to get close to a GT3 suspension, why don't you get a used GT3 suspension and add GT3 sway bars. That's the way Paul996 and I went and I don't regret it at all. When I started looking around for a GT3 suspension I had 3 offers (finally took LV Dell's suspension). There are tons of GT3 guys out there that feel the need to go Moton's.
