This is mine which is Porsche Tequipment original. If you go with aftermarket, you could have issues.

what issues are you having? make sure that the **** with the holes on the top of the bumper goes underneath the meeting points on the trunk deck... and push it in real hard till you can put the screws in to hold it in place.

i'm going to take it appart and have another look at it. i think the problem may lie with the hood rather than the bumper itself (and those stupid plastic trims and covers that are all over and under the car)

That wouldn't be giving you problems. Is the part you bought a genuine Porsche part or aftermarket?

One thing to bear in mind is that you will have to shimmy the bumper position until you get it lined up evenly on either side of the hood.

I had a helper in installing mine and it finally came down to a lot of pressure and pushing to get even alignment on each side of the hood. I'm not convinced that the dealer would have been so diligent if I'd had them do the install.

the user who sold it to me represented it as OEM and it is polyeurethan so i don't hav ea reason to doubt it. it fits flawlessly on one side and is very close to a perfect fit on the other side.

my hood definitly will need some adjustment since i had the hinges adjusted first for a cf hood, then for a stock hood with my gt3 bumper. I don't really want to spend the time to do it myself, how much do you think a good bodyshop would charge just for the fitting and stuff?

i double checked the bumper and it is indeed an oem porsche supercup bumper (has the PN on the bumper and the triangle with the P inside it).

i've gotten the bumper to fit properly on both sides, and now need 2 fix the gap between the hood and bumper.

any advice?

Your front looks pretty good and I don't think mine is much better... Here is a picture of my front bumper.

believe me, your car is much better.
my hood and bumper practically touch at the center and get wider towards the edges.

my car had such nice fitment when it was stock..if only i could go back in time :')

I had mine off last summer, putting it back on was a tighten, loosen, tighten, loosen push-tighten, job. Took awhile to do but got it to work.

Excuse the dirty car on the previous post.

I think if you loosen the screws on the outside and push in to the car and retighten, you'll loose that pull that is making the bumper come close to the hood. That's my thought on it. The trouble I had was that there was too much gap and I had to work the screws located in the trunk area to push the bumper in.
