Question Engine Light Will not Reset

Took in my 911 C4 2 for service bc of CEL. I was diagnosed with air intake leak that was repaired.

CEL came back on and was reset but came on again 2 days later while driving.

Brought car back to mechanic. He checked O2 sensor, MAF, purge valve, fuel pressure etc w computer. Everything was functioning normal per computer. He recalibrated the CEL 'system'.

Anyone have any idea why the CEL wont reset even though computer determined each aspect of CEL component to be functioning well?

Thank you!

With a code reader you should be able to check a corresponding numerical code that should pinpoint reason for CEL to reappear.

the code that came on in the shop was faulty oxygen sensor bank1 and bank2. But they checked out to be working fine.

The mechanic is good.

Is it possible that the recalibration after fixing the air intake leak was needed?

Anyone have experience with something similar where the CEL wouldnt go off?

What were the fault codes (originally)?
and what are the fault codes now?

There are several hundred faults that can turn on a CEL.

I've seen cabling issues on the o2 sensors cause fault codes to come and go, while the sensors are in fact working correctly.

Just contact to them is intermittently lost.

Troubleshooting such issues is always a pain, but do a search here for some background info.
