If I did it, I would put them after the headers and before the cats. More beneficial for the track days.
I would just have to hit the switch at T5 and then open at T8 I run Laguna Seca 92db

I agree. I was thinking doing it after the cat cells on that small longer area of the cat pipe but before the muffler.
Doing it before the cats might also trigger a CEL since there won't be a lambda-delta between the two O2 sensors.
