Default GT2 Wheels on C4S

Hello,

I am thinking of putting some GT2 wheels on my C4S. Do you have any
pics of your car? How do you like the setup?

Thanks,
Rene

Here are the pics you requested. 335/30/18 rear, 245/40/18 front on GT2 wheels. I love the cornering. Expect 1.2 -1.4 g with Pilot Sport PS2s!

I had no idea that you could go that wide, are the rims different from the 996 tt? are they hollow spoke, and how much do they wieght?

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
245/40-18 3.9in 12.9in 25.7in 80.8in 784 0.0%
335/30-18 4.0in 13.0in 25.9in 81.4in 778 0.8%

actually its only a .8% error which is awesome... are your speedo reading better with this setup than the stock wheels?

That setup works for the GT2 wheels because of the 12" rears. I wonder if a 245/335 works for the factory C4S/TT 8" front and 11" rear? Maybe just 235 and 315 would be sufficient, no?

i have 19x12s and i'd most definitely rub if i was running wider tires than the current 315/25s, but i'm prob not one to speak here since my offsets and diameter.. not the same as above.

but i'd bet that 335s would not work on 12" rears without some modification to the fenders.

Benjamin:
You are correct. Front and rear fender liners require modification, and the rear fender lips need rolled with the 335/30/18 - 245/40/18 combination. This is only possible with the C4S as the turbo and GT2 have addition constraints.
Arnee:
I have also run 315/30/18 - 235/40/18 with only slightly rolled rear fender lips, but that was with GT2 wheels.
Redridge:
The speedometer requires recalibration (but it requires calibration from the factory)
Jumper:
The rims are not hollow, but they are very light. I don't know the actual weight.
