Just kidding!
To be honest I can recall seeing 9:11 on the P-car clock only once in almost three years of ownership. No, I don't think you are a dork. It is cool when you see 9:11 on the clock.... any clock.

LOL it happens to me a lot On the cable box, in the car, and last night I was in a grocery store and the total at the cashiers was $9.11 I couldn't help but laugh

I have to admit to doing exactly what you've described. Only my wife has the nerve to tell me I'm a dork (which I depend on her to do).
Does anyone wonder what happens after the 999 has been introduced? I'll bet somebody on this list already knows the official answer.

Most people I know (non car enthusiasts of course) have really no idea what a 996 is. I usually say I drive a small German car.

I'll see your dorkitude and raise you one: One of my favourite radio stations in Toronto is JazzFM, which is at 91.1. I generally don't head to the office until after rush hour has calmed down, so I will routinely look down at my dash and see 9:11 on the clock and 91.1 on the radio. And be amused by this.

I only refer to my 996 as "the German one" to the few people that even know I own it and only to differentiate it from one of "the Japanese ones" I also own. Between people calling my Miata gay and cow-orkers worrying about what I make when they know I have a Porsche (boss drives a Gran Prix...), it's my little secret.
