What's a good price to pay if the PPI checks out?

Agreed- price seems fair. I paid $47k for an '02 cab w/ 25k mi a year ago, but it also had the removable hard top which was a prerequisite for me. Car looks clean from the pics, if it checks out w/ the PPI and drives well, buy it and welcome to the P-club!

I'd start at 40, but wouldn't be afraid of the 43k they're asking. But then again, I over pay and under sell every car I get.
