I went with a FM Modulator
And a switch to kill the FM raidio when on, sounds as good as the deck FM
I also used a Belkin adapter, if I hold the phone up I can use the speakers and the Belkin to talk on the phone...Not sure if I will use this feature? I just wanted the iPod
The cool part is I put the switch in the cigarette liter place, I do not smoke and the V1 is hard wired. If I need extra power down the road I will put one in the glove box or just hard wire the next gadget
Oh thank Tim the switch lights were a breeze with that info
Are there anymore information on this mod...eg: how does the switch work?, Beldin part #, wiring?... I have PCM1 and the FM mod I have with my ipod sucks... TIA
I have a 997. Will your system work with my car? Does the switch box get hard wired to the radio? Or does it just transmit to the radio through the FM?
With my nav. I could not hook up to the deck with...or to the location where the dc changer hooks up. you might be able to do that and if you could it would be better sound than FM...if not the system will work.
the switch box fm modulator kills all fm except 89.1 and I set that up as #6
push #6 push the switch iPod.
I also had to get two converters for the FM connector at the back of the radio
