+1 Dell, your car has more than a few mods, you run on R-Comps, and are a PCA instructor.

The 996 GT3 is more than a match for a C5 ZO6. However (given equal drivers, tires, etc), the C6 ZO6 is more than a match for a 996 GT3 (IMHO).

Hell, I've passed more than one 996TT in my 986 but I don't in any way believe that I was driving the faster car.

Mystro...sometimes I can be a little amusing... I am a multi-weapon kind of man... C6z06, Techart 911C4 and E46M3...

You are only a few hours away...you should make the drive sometime for one of our weekly fun runs... We have a small group of about a dozen cars or so (Vipers, P's, Z's, Lotuses....or Loti?., etc...)

As it comes from the factory, few cars are going to beat the Z06 straightline or around any track. Defininately not the TT, even with it's training wheels. The GT3 will come close, but, in the end, street rubber to street rubber, it will lag behind the Vette the majority of times.

However, a skilled driver can make anything happen on the track.

You can't compare modded cars since there are so many variables.

What I meant with god help the turbos is that on straight line or just a power push that vette is crazy, i have a c2 2001 stock and to see how he crushed me was less devasting that my cousin on a TT 2001 porsche. Gt3 on the track is different, driver , mods those are all variables that we cant compare.

Dont get me wrong, id rather drive the 911 most of the week, but to hammer 500 + horeses would be nice.

Tracking is not what i do , iam a guy that was stuck at a light with a zo6 and problaly will never forget that in 3 seconds we were 4 cars apart


I had an encounter with an m3 and that was close. vette z06 makes you just look bad on a drag race.

I think the Z06 (CC6) can do 75MPH in first gear? There is a video out there of a guy running through the gears and topping out at about 19XMPH. It did the top speed very quickly.

I would sport a C6 Z06 (yellow w/ wide lip wheels), it is a beautiful car that performs well. It is mad reliable too. Too bad the "cheapness" factor.

Well, while the Z is not Adriana Lima, I think it is pretty darn sexy. But again, very few things compare to the beauty of a 911 (with an aerokit, of course).

I don't have enough hair plugs or gold chains to drive a Vette.

I've never run w/one, but from what I've read the C6 Z06 is a beast and stomps any 996 ( TT and GT3 ).
