Ultrarev is a great place to buy parts for a great price.

I've been emailing them and they keep stating a Findaza flywheel is available for our 996 N/A application also.

BTW - it is Fidanza, not Findaza.

I am not sure that is true. If you do a search on "Fidanza" you will find that a few other guys ordered a Fidanza FW and found that it had the wrong number holes for mounting. Maybe they have come out with a new FW for the 996?

Are you sure that is just not some generic stock photo? I'm pretty sure the 996 stock clutch is "solid". That's why the dual-mass.

I purchase my clutch kit from Ebay for about $100 less. My clutch kit is a bit different though.

The box the LWFW came has a label which says:

"CAN BE USED WITH A SPRUNG CLUTCH DISC"

I spoke to AASCO and was told that they had modified the design from the original and that it would work fine with the OEM clutch. I was told this as well by Suncoast. Hope all goes well, will post pics of the OEM clutch with the LWFW as soon as the clutch arrives on Friday. <FINGERS CROSSED all goes well and play nicely together>

EDIT:
Wanted to show the clutch so all can see it is sprung.

$100 less? More like $70 (ebay is $358, OEM from Suncoast is $430). For $70 felt better about Suncoast...

To answer another post about weight; do not have the original flywheel off yet so cannot weight it but FWIU they are around 35 pounds. The AASCO is 13 pounds. Quality looks to be excellent.

Yes, 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo... Miss it in some ways, not in others.

Here is a pic of it before I sold it

It was very fast (just under 425 RWHP) but the Z's have a severe traction issue due to no rear end weight. My 996 may not have the HP it had but:

- Ride in the 996 is MUCH better (though on the Z it was much my fault due to replacing every rubber and silicone filled bushing <including those in the rear subrame> with urethane ones. Would definitely rattle your bones in the passenger seat!)

- Better traction in the 996

- MUCH better retained value in the 996

- It is a PORSCHE! 'nuff said!

Actually, my purchase price shipped was $100 less than what you paid, I was just showing the picture of what I bought. I'm Glad you feel good though.

Ah.. I figured you paid what the ebay listing showed.. You did indeed get a good deal then. I spoke and emailed with that seller but got cold feet based on his knowledge and such. Good to hear all worked out!

Understandable, I rarely deal with Ebay but the model number he had matched the model number I saw on popular web sites.. What I really wanted you to notice was that the friction surface on mine is slightly different than yours. Did you notice that?

Yeah yeah. Didn't have my morning coffee.

Anyways I had a Fidanza LWFW in one of my other cars before no chatter. The saleperson there did tell me what they sell is the 8 bolt version.
