Sounds like a really interesting project. Not something I would necessarily do, but it is going to look absolutely awesome once done, the body is in extreme- fantastic stuff. Enjoy it in good health and I look forward to the final pictures.

Ok guys sorry for the delay. Pictures of the car in the paint booth. We are only using the best paint BASF Glasurit 997 GT3 RS Green http://www.carizzmacolors.com/ . Keep in mind these were taken with flash. It will not look so light and baby colored in person.

More Pics from the body shop this morning after the car left the paint booth. I can't wait to see the car in person later this week.

Cool

Iforge,

I love your old blue widebody! In fact I copied all the pictures you posted. Here's a couple. That car was simply beyond sick! I could imagine looking on my reaview mirror and seeing that barreling down the highway just getting bigger and bigger in the mirror!

Anyways, looks like this new one you have in work will even have a meaner menacing look. I cant wait to see the end product.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys. I really enjoyed building the blue widebody as well. It has been 4 year since that project, and along the way I have built some more show cars, but I really missed the Porsche. I decided I had to build another one. I knew it would be difficult to try to top the blue one, so I just went about modifying it in a different direction.

I have a great time building this vehicles for myself but it is also a great feeling to share these projects with the community. I am glad there are enthusiasts out there than can appreciate the modifications I am making. I will post more pictures soon after they attach a few more parts.

If someone showed me that paint chip and told me they were going to paint their car that colour I would laugh and walk away. However, when you see it on the car it's simply stunning. Good luck with the rest of the project.
