Awesome - keep the pics coming please. I had mixed feelings about this project when I first saw this thread a while back, but now I can't wait to see more...

the car is looking incredible....the red calipers need to go though. do not know if yellow calipers will be any better, but black or the same body color calipers would probablly work best imo. please keep us posted.

I have the 6 piston 15" and 4 piston 14" big brake gran turismo kit from brembo in my warehouse. Will be going on as soon as I make my new wheels. I got them the same color as the stock 997 GT3RS in yellow.

Went to see the car for the first time in person today after the paint job and boy was I impressed. Pictures from 3C did no justice to what the car actually looked like. The car had the exhaust, turbos, and headers already removed. I will post more pictures of the progress in the next few days to come.

On a side note, the pictures just can't capture the actual color of the GT3 RS Green. Also theTechart GT Street Wing looks perfect on the car. For some reason in all the Techart promotional pics the wing looks very high. In person its actually not that tall and has a perfect height for the car.

Ok Great Update. I heard from Sam and Dan at The Speed Gallery www.thespeedgallery.com that 997 mirrors can be retrofitted to 996 requiring a good amount of labor, parts and modifications. Going to order the parts now for the conversion and keep everyone on here posted. Thanks to 6speed user member TKDalumni for the heads up. You made my day.

Updates

Spec Stage 3 Clutch and Flywheel is currently getting installed this week with the K24 turbos with 18G wheel and upgraded wastegates. We are still waiting for the 997 TT intake ducting to arrive from Germany as well as the 997 TT intercooler brackets.

The Racers Group also just sent out their beefier drop links to replace the broken JIC ones. My estimate is the car should be ready to deliver back to 3C in 1-2 weeks for the rear bumper installation. After a color sand and buff the car should be ready.

First thing after delivery will be a trip to a Dyno to see how much power the car is putting down. I hope to be in the 500-520 RWHP range.

Thanks to everyone who has followed this build thread. The last 6 months of the build process have been tedious and stressing but the final product will be well worth it.

I need to thank all the sponsors who believed in this project from the start and have supplied their expertise, products, hours of labor to help me realize my vision.

Thanks to 3C Body, Auto Talent, Spec Clutch, Agency Power, Evolution Motorsports, Brembo, Protomotive, BASF Paint, MA Carbon, Vivid Racing, The Racers Group, 996 Wings, GMG Racing, Techart and CEC.

The final details and adjustments are taking the longest. Car is still currently at Auto Talent. I have been waiting on the factory 997 turbo air ducts to arrive from Germany. They have been on special order for 2 months. I just picked up a set of 1.2 bar wastegates yesterday for the K24 turbos from Speed Gallery. Its a never ending process. I keep on finding more and more things to purchase for the car. Right now I am thinking of purchasing the 75mm throttle body and 75mm IPD plenum.

After all the engine work the car will be strapped on a dyno to see what kind of power it is putting down. I am hoping 520-540 to the wheels which would be around 600 flywheel HP. Then its back to 3C to install the new 993 vented style hood, install the Techart Rear Bumper and color sand the entire car. I don't think I will have the actual car back to drive until mid to late April.

Auto talent is currently installing or has installed.

Racers Group Replacement Drop Links
GT3 Seats
GMG Rollbar
Spec Stage 3 Clutch and Flywheel
K24 turbos with 18G wheel and 1.2 bar wastegates
Fabspeed Exhaust, Headers
EVOMS Intake
5 bar FPR
Agency Power Boost Hoses
Greddy Profec B Spec 2
Defi Link Control Unite 2 with Defi Link Display and all the monitoring sensors for water pressure, water temp, oil pressure , oil temp, boost pressure, fuel pressure.
Sparco 6 pt. harnesses
FVD Daytona Suede Leather Steering wheel
H&R Front and Rear Sway Bars

Its been a long road, but at the end the car is going to perform, drive, look, and handle exactly like I want. I can't wait I am so excited.
