I thought if I could get him to bet me I had a chance win and he would be compelled and honor bound to "pay up" on the bet by driving 2,000 miles next year. I'm at the end of my rope! I fear that all is lost!
Tim, even though I "won" the bet, I promise to put some miles on the car in '08. Can't promise 2,000, but close to it. I fear if I don't, I may rot!

Well, that's good to hear!

In 2008, you and I will be be in the same boat as far as driving the Porsche. You will have a 996 but probably won't drive it much because you won't get the opportunity to do so. I will no longer own a 996, and will want to drive it every day. How ironic is that!

Tim, best of luck with the sale. I know you reluctantly want to move it.

... well, you could always blame the rotting smell on the musty smell of a car that's always in storage.

...well, that or old age.
