Exclamation 10/14/07 private track day at Summit Point, WV - open spots

Some friends and I are renting Shenandoah Circuit at Summit Point, WV on Sunday, October 14th, 2007.

To get a lot of tracktime, we'll have a very limited number of cars (mainly but not limited to Porsche 996). It's a DE style event, no competition so no timing - safety first!

If anyone from the DC metro area with an experience of at least 5 track events wants to join, pls. see further details clicking on below link. We're only opening the event for a limited number of additional cars/drivers, so first pay - first in ($350 for the day).

Will there be any instructors or just open track? Driving on course with someone in a gt whatever with only 1 or 2 track days will keep some of the experienced folks away I imagine. Looks fun though!

hey KJ yes we'll have flaggers, ambulance, insurance, etc. We'll also have use of the skidpad.

Long time no talk/ball man...

Some instructors have signalized interest to join us for the track event and we'll see how much track experience the participants have. We'll try to get people in with at least 5 days of track time. With an intended cap of 20 cars in probably 3 "run groups", we should be able to keep the track relatively clear, especially as we compare it to other clubs where we see up to 20 cars in one run group on Shenandoah.

"Very experienced" drivers (however we can define this) will be in a different "run group" than novice drivers, so I don't think this should keep anyone away.

Hey Harold,

Long time no talk. Been busy, traveling a lot. I would like to try and make it but I won't know until we get closer. I guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed for an opening. Cheers and talk to you soon.

LOL! Although Paul996 gave me a ton of great tips at my last two DE events at Shenandoah, I'm still learning myself.
