Default tires

hey everyone!
2 more posts and I can put up some photos for you guys!

6 weeks or so into ownership of 99 C2 and the "love" of this car just keeps getting bigger!!

Ok, need advice........have Turbo look rims, 17" and tires, especially rear are almost slicks so I want to buy new tires.

Current rubber is Conti, N1 spec.

I don't have any experiences as to difference between brands as concerns a Porsche.

The car will only see summer driving on the street only.......should I stay with the Conti's or switch.
Is there any huge advantage to changing rim size or not bother.
Thanks in advance!

Why don't you do a search? This has been covered thousands of times.

Go to www.tirerack.com and do a search information on N-spec tires

I have had Conti's, Pirelli's, Kuhmo's, and Michelins on my 996 and 986.

IMHO, the Michelin Pilot Sport II's are the best of the bunch for the street.

I have had Pirelli P-Zeros, Bridgestine RE750's, and PS2's. I really like the PS2's, which I would buy again!

I run Pirelli on the 986 - seem to last a long time - grip is ok

I run Toyo T1R on the 996 - much better - great grip - great handling - non N rated so shoot me!

I'll be buying Toyo for the 986 next time around.

Oh, and sidewall has a great bead to protect the lip of your rims - nice feature

Put PS2's on the 996, agree with the positive comments on these tires....but just putting Potenza's on the 930
