Default Removing Amber from headlights

Is there a possibility of removing the amber color from the headlights. These are Litronics Mk1.

Thanks.

Do a search under "amberectomy" and you will find what you need.

Yes, but only if the amber color is inside the headlight, as shown in the link below, which shows how to perform the "amberectomy."

I know, she is pretty too! I was just talking BS! Let me know how it goes please, I have been seriously, seriously considering this mod, but soldering irons intimidate me.

Just curious since I have read about this "amberectomy" a couple of times now but didn't understand what it is all about.

So, am I a candidate???

Speed Demon,
Looks like your car has already had the procedure, but its hard to tell from the photo. I've done this to my car and whatever you do, don't do what some advocate and use a drill or a pair of needlenose pliers to try to break up the yellow reflector. I tried that first, and there are still orange/yellow reflector shards and dust in my headlights that I can't get out (not even by vacuming...tried for about an hour). Luckily, most of the debris has settled to relatively inconspicuous locations, but it still bugs me a little bit. Using the soldering gun is scary, but it sure beats yellow dust in your headlights.

Yes, you have the internal amber lens in your turn signal. You are a prime candidate.

They say its relatively simple, and I am by no means the type to melt my headlight apart. But just haven't gotten around to it.......
