Default New PCar Experience

Just got a new 02 996 C2 and here is a few things I noticed:

Good things:
1. I no longer have to try hard to kick anyone's butt off the line (aka stoplight).
2. Chicks dig it. Even chicks that aren't into cars (aka my wife).
3. People actually move out of my way on the freeway. They assume I am driving 90 all the time. BIG bonus!

Bad things:
1. Everyone wants to race, even the overweighted SUV's
2. I get more looks from guys than girls. Even after assuming #2 above.
3. I am mod obsessed. That should have been factored into my budget!

That is a very smooth looking p car. Makes me think, after the wheels all I need is a turbo bumper. Oh and about bad thing number 1. I had some idiot in an old *** 240z trying to impress his son today, until he got his *** wooped.

I love those guys. I let them beat me off the line so they think they got me. Once they hit third gear I shift out of first and c ya...

The turbo bumper is a great look. I am debating if I should add the side effects too. Worried about overkill.

My next mod is the stereo. Mine sucks big-time and I need my tunes. (sorry the wind and exhaust aren't enough for me)

Nice looking ride. Love the bumper, but IMHO I would complete the look with the side skirts to make it complete. But first post more pics so we can see how it looks from different angles.

Welcome to the forum.

Definitely do the sideskirts. Kinda completes the thing. Beautiful car.

I agree about the sides. I didn't specifically look for them when I bought my car but I think they make a huge difference to the look.

Without them it just looks "wrong" to me

It looks wrong if you have just one part of the aerokit... either go big and get the whole kit or stay home (keep it all non-aero).

like the example above, with just the sideskirt, the car looks side heavy as the overhang up front looks jacked up, out of balance.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I have been going back and forth on the issue. Sounds like I need to increase my budget, yet again!

Either way, I will post more pics...

I agree with these fellas about the skirts, I personally prefer MKI, but I do not think it looks "wrong" without the skirts, better than stock, but not quite as good as w/ skirts.

Did you purchase the bumper or was it on there when you bought the car?

It was already there. Otherwise, I would have purchased the whole kit. At least I am part way there.
