Default Should I sell PSE and other mods separate from car?

I'm going to sell my 2000 996 C4 Cab soon and am considering removing and selling the Porsche Sports Exhaust and other mods separately. My gut tells me I might be able to get more money if I sell them separately (and also find someone who might appreciate them more). In particular, would it be worth the effort to pull off the PSE and go back to stock?

Likewise, for the ROW M030 Sports suspension. This might be less practical than the PSE, since the car would need to be aligned.

The SmartTop module seems like a no brainer.

I enjoy working on the car, so the time involved to swap things out isn't an issue.

Or would keeping these bits with the car make it stand out? The car is a heavily optioned one, so it already is going to be on the high side compared to many of the others that are available.

I would bet its worth the effort $ wise, not to mention the great number of rennlisters you would have made .

Take them off. What color is the interior, and what sort of leather things are in it?

Put a list up, and those things will find homes pronto!

You always make more $$ taking them off...and the new buyer doesn't even have to know that it had them...just take it back to stock. Galerie's right...you'll make some Rennlisters happy if you sell them at a decent price.

Agree car sells for same price with or without while the aftermarket parts will sell used for more than the Porsche parts, in this case anyway. IMHO

Cool

The only problem with the PSE is the pneumatic/electronic part of it.. that would be a PITA to remove, unless you have a buyer that only wants the cans.

I installed mine without the electronics/pneumatic activation circuit since I only want it in the sport mode all the time.

PSE wiring & switch is available from the dealer, so if someone wants the PSE "wired" they can purchase the wiring separately.

Thanks for all the input. Looks like a strong preference for removing the mods (except for the PMs from folks interested in buying the car!).

Regarding the PSE, I installed it and the electronics/pneumatics myself and it really wasn't too tough. While it was a bit of a pain given that it was the first time I'd done it, it would be pretty easy to remove (and not too tough to install the next time). The switch is a pretty cool feature, but I rarely run it in quiet mode (occasionally I use it if I'm leaving the house early in the morning and don't want to bother the neighbors).

Orient Express, the interior is metropol blue full leather, including leather visors, handbrake and shift ****. I can't see that it would make sense to try to sell any of the interior bits separately, but maybe I'm missing something.

I would be intrested in the PSE with the wiring and switch...I have been looking for 3.6 to modify but if these are price right I would move that direction.
I am a new 996 owner and expect I must do soming with the lack of sound on the 3.4 cans

I agree, you should sell all that you can because the dealer will just give you the wholesale value for the car itself and nothing for the mods.
I have been down that road several times, it pays to remove them and sell them seperately.
