Depends.

Rear badges on Porsches are like "aim here" tatoos on hot chicks. If she is just used for flings? oh yeah. If she is your main squeeze . . . um . . . no way. Mine is au naturel

Hmmm, that does look good with silver but with it saying Carrera in my mind would be better. I am again on the fence post about the bumperettes in regards to them being black or yellow.

More stuff for you to chew over.

It's so clear: "Carrera" in silver. Paint the bumperettes.

Yes, I know mine are black. I park in the city.

Hurry! Do it now before these people make you change my mind.

How does that prove your point?

It is a question of esthetics. If someone puts on the "wrong" badge, then they look like they are driving the cheap model (i.e. turbo on a C4s).

People who do not have one at all look like they don't care about what anyone else thinks, which is why I don't have one either. I own a Targa, what would debadging make people think I want them to think I own?

Dude, it reminds me of people who wear clothing with the manufacturers' name plastered all over the place: Gucci, Versace, D&G, etc. So played. We get it. You're cool. I can tell what model car I'm looking at by the fender rolls, the brake calipers, the front air intake, etc. The badge is just a bit more marketing is all.

Anyway, if you're keen to have a badge, painted yellow Carrera, black bumperettes looks next best.

x2

I refuse to wear any clothing that has a logo on it.

Frankly, I would rather that people think I spent less on my car than I did. In reality, I wished that most people didn't know I even owned a Porsche, let alone multiple Porsches -- porschi -- and track/race them.

here's what u do speed demon... ask each person who is providing their opinion to post a pic of their 911... if their 911 looks good, it's obvious that you can follow their style a bit more since they're a bit more credible...

some of the advice here, imo, is aesthetically whack. speed you know what my ride looks like and i've already stated my preference here.

no offense, but i'd say a good 98% of the 911s on this forum that i've seen are... really wtf are you doing style just like the 98% of the way people dress out there in the greater US public.

really, i'm not trying to sound like an ****, just being honest

Hi Steven, just my 2 cents worth. I really like the 911 badge because it's different. I believe it came stock on the millenium edition. Your car looks great regardless of which you do.

Actually, the emblems were mounted in the higher position on the 3.4L cars, and the lower position on the 3.6L cars.

The 3.4 C4's came with silver emblems, C2's with black. I don't know if this applies to 3.6's as well.

You may note that in my pic posted above, I put a silver badge in the lower position on my 3.4L car, even though it is a C2. I like the look better this way.

Who cares what anyone else thinks? Life is short, so do what makes you happy. I know I did. So, do I look like I am a poseur because I prefer badgeless?
