Trade CD Holder for Cubby?
Now that I have my Avic-D3 with IPOD, I no longer need CD's. Looking for straight up trade.

Gant - get one at the dealer! Price is $30 to $35.

Tim, Thanks! If I don't get any takers, I'll do it.

No takers! Shocking! Who doesn't need a 4 disc cd holder that takes up that much space? Sometimes I just look at mine and laugh. In many ways it's reassuring that the engineers at Porsche are so focused on how this car drives that they would put something so completely useless into the interior of the car.

The less space, the less clutter for me. I tend to leave a million gum wrappers, which later find there way floating thruout the cabin at speed. Less space is less mess. I'm thinking of putting another cd holder in my cubby area....lol

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but can the CD holder be removed without taking the console apart?

Yes. Plastic spatula under the cd holder then pull out.

You don't even need a spatula. Just open one of the CD storage containers and PULL.

Funny Arnee.
When you pull on an open tray firmly enough, the entire CD holder will pop right out.

Haha - I wouldn't exactly call $31 cheap when you can buy a binder that holds 200 for $25

That worked. Thanks!
I'm always paranoid about just 'pulling' stuff on this car...

There are two different part numbers for the bins. Upper and lower storage bin. Make sure you have the correct part number.
