Sale of my (beloved) '99 996?
AWD car totalled last month. Purchased my mirage/space grey C2 as my long term dream car, promptly relocated from CA to MT, and have put 11000 miles on it in 7 years. And so with my winter/bad weather car gone and needing one, I get to consider as I did when I bought the AWD: C4S, run all year with full clear bra for protection and winter wheels/tires. Probably go with the 997 for warranty, and because THIS time it will be a 10 year car. I swear (at least to my wife). OTOH, my 944 went 9 years and 110k miles, and the 996 is 8 years old.
I expect I'll have to do a trade (location not great for P-car sales), but if anyone's interested in a well optioned C2 with Kinesis K28 wheels let me know. Color combo is rare, but everyone who sees it loves it (warmer than arctic and changes more with light. The grey interior looks really sharp, too).
Was very active on this forum while choosing my car and lurked enough since to know that Dell will advise me on reasonable pricing . I expect trade will be high 20's and fair private party 30-32 (recalculated at Edmund's and came up with $34 to start as I feel the wheels are a valuable add and forgot the ROW springs....). Pix and options list available if interested.

I think that you can get a bit more for it. That is seriously low mileage. I did a lot of shopping before I bought my '99 late last year for $29k w/ 39k mi. And it was bone stock. I'd a bought yours in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the encouragement, that's why i posted. Distance, shipping, poor market here, etc. is why I'd be looking for low 30's. Realism says that after a month or so I'd be stuck reducing the price. Hopefully, a few more like you are here who haven't made their move and will contact me.....

It's different here than you'd think. City type traffic to go to work/shopping, as town too small for freeways, and only occasional distance trips without family to open it up. But I also get to feel like I got a new car every March, and over the past few weeks "forced" into driving it daily I am appreciating it more and more, which moves me towards the C4S over the sport sedans. So I can drive it every day, all year, no other options.....
