Remember my wife gave me the B&M SSK and painted rear console for my anniversary...

Got it installed over the weekend, and this is probably the best mod ever! Night and day with SSK versus stock, dont understand why Porsche doesn't make this a standard item on their cars. Quality of the B&M SSK is much better than cheap, plasticy porsche shifter. Took me about 3-4 hours to get everything installed and took my time to do some cleaning as well. Absolutely love the result! a Big thanks to my wife and thanks to Eric at Bumperplugs (yes, she paid $399... maybe she should have gone for the knock-off version on eBay... don't think so!).

Congrats on the DIY...saved a couple of $$$$ by doing it yourself. Was the B&M difficult to install? I have removed the rear center console before. I enjoy DYI projects and would love to install the B&M kit in the future.

Wasn't very difficult... most challenging step was to take the shifter **** off. My stick didn't have a screw to loosen the shifter **** and I didn't know how much force I could use. Ended up leaving it on and after I got the console and the shifter out, I put the old stick in a bench vice and used (a lot of) force to pull it off. All order steps were quite easy. If I had to do it all again,I can probably do it in 60-90 minutes easy.

Nice, I did that mod a couple of months ago and love it. I had the worst time trying to put the shift ball on the EVO link I added as well. It required a little more force than I thought it would need. Best bang for the buck, especially through Bumperplugs
