I know I'm like that too ...

I wish though that I could perfectly do it smoothly and consistently .

Great video, but was that turbo in the first video a tip? hmmmmmm...

Personally, I think the 911 pedal setup is perfect for heel-toe, though I have aluminum pedals and I positioned the brake slightly closer to the accelerator than the stock pedals. I do this 100% of the time, in fact, often double-clutch pretending like I'm stirring a real non-sync race transmission.

It's a sickness.

How did you do that? Was it an option you had when you installed the new pedals?

Bahh those guys suck

Now here's a guy that is one with his pedals:
Walter Rohrl's happy feet

Heel/toe and left foot braking braking with Porsche's current test driver.

I'm surprised at how many people - especially Porsche drivers - that don't seem to know what the benefits of heel/toe are - or rev matching in general. It's faster, smoother, more fun, and keeps your gear box/synchros in good shape.

To install them, you remove the rubber pad, position the aluminum over the original pedal (which is a metal pedal in the case of the brake), mark, drill and mount. There is a bit of freedom in how you position the aluminum brake, and I tried to match the height of the pedal more closely to the height of the clutch than the stock pedals, and I also was able to move it slightly closer to the accelerator. Here's a shot, though the res of my pic isn't that great...

Makes my feet happy.

Cool. Thanks for sharing. That style of pedal would look out of place in my car, but this makes me think again.

Ok, am I the only one who thinks they would have hit at least 40-50 people in the first 1/4 mile at half that speed before blowing the engine?

That was incredible.

Lots of turbo lag in those early quattros. I think a lot of that left foot brake/right foot accelerator pumping was to keep the turbo spooled up through the corners so the boost was available at exit.

He is the master.
