Cabrio seats hitting windscreen
I'm surprised to see that nobody's addressed the fact that the Windscreen in the Cabrio prevents you from sliding and reclining the seats back all that far. I had to slide my driver's seat about 1-2 inches forward before i was comforable with the aomunt of pressure the seat was putting on the windscreen and it really wasn't easy getting used to...
With the exception of "just dealing with it" has anybody come up with any ideas on this one? any aftermarket windscreens that attach elsewhere?

I'm 6'2" tall - my windscreen rides around in my "trunk". I used it once, as it's too uncomfortable for me to drive if I move the seats up far enough to fit in the windscreen. I don't really miss it, but the wife hates to drive with the top down.

At least it's not just me. I've seen other convertibles with windscreens that go across the top of the two front seats - have any tall entrepreneurs come up with something of the sort for the 996?

I am not that tall..but I like to sit further back..and I used my windscreen ONCE...it just sits in the"trunk" of my car too. I cant use it...
but I figure it is part of the Package so when I am ready to sell the buyer will be happy I have it...I guess.

I consider the windscreen to be a huge qualify of life issue, and one that enables me to have the top down under far more variable temps / circumstances than I would otherwise.

One of the few times I've been glad to be only 5'8".

The windscreen in semi-permanently attached in the back of my cab. Thankfully, you can close the top with it up so I just leave it there for the summer...
There *are* certain advantages to be smaller.. this, and the fact that I can curl up in the coach seat of an airplane quite comfortably and take a nap..

I am 6'-1" and sit with the seat all the way back in my cab and it doesn't hit the wind screen unless I have the seat back tilted way back, much farther than I like in any case. The only thing I can think is that many of you like to have the seat back reclined pretty far.

Being 6'2 I guess i drive with the seat up a bit, and love the windscreen especially when your dressed up to go out and the hair looking good, put that imn and fly on the highway no tornadoes in the cab haha, big fan of the windscreen

If you do what I do and just jam the seat up against the windscreen as far back as it can go without breaking it actually amplifies the viration of the car in the drivers seat (which usually dissapates up through the headrest) and it feels like you're in a Geo Metro with a bad tank of gas when you're at idle...
