Default WTB Childrens Porsche Junior Seat

Hey guys,

EDIT;

My brother is looking for a Porsche Junior seat for his 04 996. My understanding is that these are one of the best fits for the 996.

Does anyone have a used or new one lying around they want to get rid of?

He wants one that looks like this ^^^^^

Thanks
Jeff

Britax makes car seats and boosters that fit the rear seats of the 996. The bases of most other brands are too wide to fit.

Cheers,
Stan

Britax does not mfg car seats for Porsche anymore. And they are 17.5" wide. The rear of a 996 is 15 at the back and 17 at the front.

the actually size of rear seat in a 2004 996 cab is. 14 1/4 rear of seat and 16" front with seat pad out with a length of 16" . With the seat pad in it is 13X14 1/2 length 16".

The seat you show in your pic is not the zoom. The zoom is a booster like below. Picture below is actually the Britax version - Porsche Zoom is same as Britax, manufactured by Britax but different color. Someone here can probably give you the correct name of the one in your pic. I think it might be "Porsche Convertible Child Seat". The seats for 986 and 996 are same. Porsche seats come with attached red belt to connect to deactivation bar in car. Many people buy deactivation bar and buckle, then use their own seat. I started out with zoom in my 986 and now 996 and when kid #1 got too big for zoom, I cut off red belt and just use buckle for airbag deactivation. Kid #2 now uses the zoom seat.

The child seat in your picture is the "Junior" seat from Porsche.

The Zoom is no longer available. It was replaced by the "Kid Plus".
This child seat fits in the back of the 996 but also in the back of the 993 and 964.

Thanks Gert. Know that this is cleared up. He does want the Porsche junior seat as in the picture. Does anyone have one they want to sell, new or used?

Also, are they readily available new?

Thanks
Jeff
