I'm unsure of the difference between Traction Control and PSM. I would think that TC would monitor and adjust braking in conjunction with the limited slip differential. while the PSM would do the same but also monitor and adjust throttle response.
Your right it does but sometimes when you do a search the result takes along time to sort through - a simple search for "Traction Control" in the 996 forum has pages of results and discussions to look through. Your referral got me right to the answer I was looking for - thus a web forum worked as it should - working together on a common interest.
One thing I'm still not clear on, however, is whether there is ever any benefit to turning TC off. I don't think so but . . . while I understand why you may want to turn PSM off sometimes.
