And there a perfect example of why people don't trust eBay. A bid that has no intention of winning other than to get the price moving. If you have no intention of buying the car, then observe. You did Gant no favors by shill bidding his auction.

Gant, best of luck with the sale and may you get top dollar! Still going to hang around the 996 board when you move to 997 country???

I view eBay as advertising. Alot of the car sales are not completed through the actual auction. On the other hand I did find mine on eBay and was really happy the whole process. I know that I saw a lot of cars there that I did not see on other listings.

Gant, that is a great looking car! I am sure you will get a good price for it

Thanks guys, I really appreciatte it. The prices on C4S's seem about the same as when I bought it, only a year newer. In other words, a 2003 C4S like mine, is going for around $58-$59k. Mine SHOULD -- HOPEFULLY get $55k, especially w/that awesome warranty. We SHALL see.

Dell, will certainly continue to hang out here after I no longer own a 996.

Do you already have a 997 in mind or just know that you want one? That C2S is sure a sweet machine!

I PROMISE I WILL PAY $10,000 if I am the successful bidder! In fact I'll add another 2k. I PROMISE to buy the car if it goes for $12,000 --- IF not outbid I intend to pay -- everyone happy now?

If you get $55 that would be a great result because I seem to recall you paid about $56 seven or eights months ago. Driving a C4S for about $100 a month is a steal in anyone's book.

Best of luck and hope you get it.

Heeh, Only a few more thousand to hit that seemingly-unattainable reserve.

Gratzi senior!! I payed $56,500 +$2000 for a 4 year extended warranty. I've only put a few thousand miles on it and have taken great care of it, obviously. Also, tires only have about 3k miles on 'em.
