Default Pic request *Vesuvio metallic*

I did a search and couldnt come up with anything. Does someone have this colour car and can post up some pics?

thanks in advance.

Edit: actually what I mean is nice pics of your cars. I see a lot of Guards Red, Silver, Grey, and yellow, but not really much on the Grey/purple (mauve?) colour. Were they that rare?

Not my car. Found it during my (ongoing) search:

Nice color. It does seem to be fairly uncommon.

Yes...Mfletch has that color. I drove his car a couple weeks ago, and had a chance to look at it in the sunlight....it's a unique color, and seems to change in different light....from sort of a brownish to a purple. There are purple highlights in it that sparkle in the sun or oblique lighting...very unique.

Dude, that is my car! Except I have a 2000. The color is great IMHO. You will get a ton of compliments on it. Here's some pics. The first one's the car isn't washed - sorry. The last one has the clear side markers I just installed - I never thought they would look as sweet as they do. I also did the Litronics upgrade and it was awesome as well.

Here are a few pictures of my 99 Vesuvio Metallic C2 in various states of reassembly. It grows on you after a while. You definately will not have trouble finding it in the grocery store parking lot. A similar 996 was the cover car for the first issue of "Total 911" magazine. It appears to be different colors in different lighting...from black to purple.
If you like to be unique...this is the color for you.

Man Mark,
I kind of like the "no engine and no rear bumper look." Makes the car look pretty aggressive!

Hi Scott, I'd much rather have the less aggressive but driveable look. How do you like the PSE-mod?

Scott: See the patrol car in the picture? I think Mark was reporting that someone stole the engine out of his car.....Mark must have gone out in the morning and couldn't figure out why his car wouldn't start. Mark...was that your thread a while back..."Help, car won't start?"

Mark,
I just love the pse mod. I'll tell you what...its rare to find that your cheapest option is the one you like best! I've been in a number of cars with reputable aftermarket exhausts (never heard a real pse though), and I'll just say I'm glad I did the pse mod!

Chuck, I do see the patrol car, but from what I know about Mark, I'm betting he wasn't reporting a theft, but rather a large, unexplained explosion, possibly the handi-work of less-than-ambitious jihadists, that resulted in complete distenegration of the engine, but only localized damaged to the rear of the car. I bet Mark could pitch that to the insurance company, and that the local bomb squad would corroborate his account!
