Default 100Cell Cats'

Looking at installing Fabspeed 100 cell racing Cats and wondering what experience other owners have had with this mod??

My mechanic suggested this as a superior mod over Fabspeed headers for both sound and horsepower gains... 1st hand opinions appreciated!
Thanks!

I just recently installed the Fabspeed 100 cell cats and I think there great! Nice throaty burble at idle and regular driving. A beautiful symphony of hell breaking loose at WOT. I should also note that I have Fabspeed mufflers. I personally do not think the combo is too loud and some others here commented otherwise. As for performance gains, this was not a primary goal of the install. It was about the exhaust note and free flow. Did I gain some HP/TQ? Probably... how much is not known, but air is definitely getting out quicker and I also lost some weight in the process. As for quality, the pieces are very well made and beautiful welds.

200 cell cats have FAR LESS PROBLEMS than 100 cell cats.... go for cargraphic/superspring 200 cells if you want quality and good sound....

I have 200 and they are loud, but I have no muffs and headers.

I've had them for just about a week, so not a lot of data to go by... However, no CEL's, the car is as strong as ever and running smooth.

Hmmm... that was what I thought. So what then would be the advantage of the Cargraphic cats? Are they larger diameter so that 200 cells still equals more flow???

They are not the same material. Porsche is ceramic, heavy, aftermarket is platinum, mine are anyways............. Stock cats are well over 1000 not 200. Who told you this?

The cell count doesn't really apply to ceramic but the equivalant would be well over 1000, does that make sense?

porsche told me they were around the 400-450 range.......... so it would make sense to switch out to a 200 or even a 100 cell cats to get better flow.......
