Default Shorter gear stick?

Hello.

I wanted to ask how I can get shorter gear stick then orginal one, is it just changing the shift boot to a shorter one or do I have to change the stick also?

Like in this picture, I belive the small one in the corner is shorter?

Norbert!

Did the car arrive then?

Can't remember if you had the short shift kit on the car already - if not, check out B&M SSK.

You keep the same shift ****, but replace the mechanism and level underneath for a track-car like shifter with short throw.

That could be what you're after.

Hello Chris.

The car has not arrived yet, I think its on the boat right now, but Im buying some parts so I have them ready =)

Yes there is a BM shortshift kit on the car, but my eyes says the length of the shifter is longer in the big picture then the small picture? (the length of the stick)

Or are my eyes playing with me?

Your eyes do not play with you Noby! I changed my stock shift **** to a techart one and recognized that the stock **** sits much higher. See my previous thread:

On the 2004 Boxster special edition the shift lever is 1" shorter.

People have cut down the eom shift lever and have even cut down the B&M shift lever.

Cutting down the shift lever will result in shorter throws. B&M just does it a different way so that the stock shift lever height is maintained.

On the special edition Porsche said the throws were reduced 20%.
