Excellence 911 and 996 values
Not sure if this should go in the 911 or 996 forum...
I'm "considering" trading from an '87 Targa with 68k to an '01 996 coupe with 26k.
Does anyone have a link to scans of the 2006 Excellence Market Reports for the G50 Carrera and the 996? I searched but could not find them.
TIA.

I empathize with you - I tried searching for something on their website and it was impossible to find anything there. Good luck

Sorry. You hit a gap in the Excellence mags that I have around the house. I looked thru 6 and nothing was on the mark for your search. Excellence isn't a great gauge anyway. Tell the guys that put those grids together to actually go find those cars at those prices and see how they do.

Yup, I have the same gap. I knew I should have renewed my subscription.
Yes, I know about Excellence values... I want to make sure I have something for backup when he offers 8k. On the flip side, I'd like to get some data on the 996 values.
Recent auction numbers would be the most accurate gauge of the market. Unfortunately, I don't have access to them.

Very welcome. If you need the text of the article that will take a little more work but could probably be done with a camera. If not, I can scan these on Monday.

Those numbers are a complete joke.
Contact Rennlist Sponsor Alfie at Ira Porsche for an accurate assesment of current values. He just saw a 1998 C2S sell for $74,000. We routinely see them go for over $60K for the low mileage 1998 widebodies.
Even the 996 numbers are crap.

Are you saying these numbers are low? We're talking about a run-of-the-mill, bone stock '87 Targa and '01 996, not the modern collectable CxS.
I would love to get the "Good" value, espicially from a dealer.

The 993 numbers are not even close, especially on the low mileage 1998 models. There is a huge thread on this in the 993 forum with a number of professionals chiming in.
I will admit that I don;t know nearly as much about current 996 pricing.
