Default Key Question: Can't believe I'm this **** but...

So that little Porsche logo fell off my key and it's annoying me. I don't want to spend $$$ to buy a new key and was wondering if anyone knew where I can buy that logo to superglue back on. I apologize in advance for this stupid question.

You can get it from a dealer for like $5 or something. I bought one from Sunset and I assume it's the same as the 993 key crest (it looks the same to me).

You can buy a new key head, but its still expensive, but you don't have to have the dealer program it. I would check dealer if the logo can be ordered.

Performance Products carried them several years ago, but I believe they stopped. Maybe you could consider harvesting the crest from a 944 key head if the dealer cannot provide you with one.

Good Luck!

..... what he said, PLUS without the shield on your key...

... you lose 25 HP...
... the car will corner like Big Foot (the big wheel truck)...
... your warranty will be voided...
... and, finally, your RMS will gush oil.

Any questions?

Seriously, I wonder if the Porsche tie tack is the same size?!?!?!, or the Porsche Crest button?!?!?! Check out this link below:

Good luck with your search.

It does not look as if the crest itself is available seperate. Get a 944 Key head and try to salvage it.

Try to think back to where you might have lost it. Go back there and look around for a while. It should still be there.

The other ting about the photo is that you have way too many keys on that key chain... no wonder it took a beating.

My Porsche key is the only one on the key fob, so nothing else there to damage it and no stress on the ignition.

Yes, you have ruined the snob appeal of owning a Porch by putting those inferior keys next to it. As a revolt to your behavior the key spit its badge off...intentionally

Man you guys are too funny! I mention it to a friend and she rolls her eyes at me letting me know how retarded it is too worry about such a minor thing. I'm glad to hear that I'm not alone.

BTW: It looks like that sticker that they sell for $5 dollars might be a fit. Of course if I buy that I have to buy something else to recoup the shipping costs hmm what else to buy.....

I would have never called the parts dept. thinking they would not carry a replacement logo for the key but sure enough they do. Called Beverly Hills Porsche and they were sold out but ordered me one for $10 bucks. I'll take it....and I'll get another key ring just for the "porsche" key. Thanks for the help guys!
