I just put my 2003 996 thru the Zaino treatment and I am convinced that this car did not look this good when it was new from the factory. It is simply stunning what this Zaino polish can do. I took some time but it is so worth it to look at this car and see the mirror finish.
1)I first washed the car with Dawn detergent as the people at Zaino recommend to take all other wax off.
2)I applied 2 coats of Zaino Z-5 and the Zaino spray detailer in between each coat.
3)Applied 2 coats of Z-2 Pro and Zaino Grand Finally Spray detailer in between coats and at the end.
I also applied it to the wheels, headlights and all glass!!!!
It is simply amazing the difference it has made!!

does it have to be done all at once?
how long till it has to be waxed again?

I'm a convert, too. Using Z2 and Z5 Pro, Z6 their leather treatment. VERY easy to use and the finished product is unbeatable. I've used Zymol, Griots Best of Show, P21S, Mequires etc. but Sal Zaino's products beat them all.

The process I do not find that bad at all. I think its easier than traditional carnuba wax in fact. First off its alot easier to put on/off and you dont have to worry about cleaning up the white residue on unwanted areas as u do normal wax. Each coat takes 10 minutes to apply and 10 minutes to take off with about 1hour drying time. This job took me 2 solid days of the car being in the garage and working on it. The shine is better then anything i have seen.

Wow. That is really impressive on a color like black. My slightly used '02 cab has (had) some light hazing and scratches from PO not properly washing the car (or rubbing too hard when they did wash/dry it) so I used my Meguire's #2 followed by #7 and then #26 (wax). All by hand, and it got out most of the scratches/hazing and the car looks super. I probably could have done better with the orbital polisher, but I wanted to take it easy the first time on this car.
I've read many wonderful things about Zaino and I applaud your results. I'm a strong believer in Griot's "Speed Shine" Quick Detailer or whatever he calls it and his interior cleaner. I use Meguire's waxes and cleaners just because I'm familiar with them and they work well. I use 3M compound and polish for when I use the machine on really bad surfaces.
Personally, I think most people (that is, normal people, not us Porsche owners) would help their cars 100% by simply washing them more than once a year.
